Anti-social behaviour, harassment and domestic abuse

Anti-social behaviour

What is Anti-social behaviour?

Anti-social behaviour can be anything from low levels of noise or persistent nuisance to serious violence and other criminal activity. It includes behaviour that affects other people’s quality of life.

Examples include:

  • noise nuisance
  • littering public areas
  • graffiti
  • using aggressive and threatening language and behaviour
  • being violent
  • vandalism
  • abandoned vehicles
  • racial and other harassment
  • drug-dealing
  • nuisance from pets
  • prostitution
  • intimidation and harassment
  • domestic violence

We are committed to taking action against people who are responsible for anti-social behaviour and harassment, and we will use all the legal solutions available to us.

We realise that sometimes tenants are being harassed or living in fear of violence or have exceptional circumstances. If you need advice about these sorts of problems, contact the Housing Needs Team at Oxford House, Kidderminster. We will look into the problems and decide what action to take. Although this could involve you moving home, we would look at other ways to solve the problem (such as injunctions). This may mean contacting other agencies, such as the police or social workers.
