Shared Areas and Estate Services

This is our promise of how we will maintain the shared areas and facilities around your home.

It tells you how often we cut the grass and hedges, how we keep planted areas and trees tidy, and how quickly we clear rubbish and repair shared facilities.

It guarantees high standards of service and says how we will achieve these. It explains how you can help by letting us know about any problems. If you have a problem or you are not satisfied with something, it explains what to do and how to complain.

This section applies to tenants who live in homes that share areas and facilities we own.

To help maintain shared areas and facilities, we will:

• cut the grass regularly between March and October
• keep paths clear of large amounts of grass clippings
• keep hedges and planted areas tidy
• prune trees when they need it
• carry out repairs to shared areas and facilities quickly
• repair lighting inside shared areas within 24 hours
• clean the outside of windows in shared areas at least four times a year
• keep shared areas tidy and free of rubbish
• listen to any problems you have
• put things right quickly

To help, you should:

• let us know if something needs doing
• ask permission before planting in shared gardens
• make sure your rubbish is tied properly and left in the correct place
• let us know if someone has dumped rubbish
